Starting nursery? Learn how to send reusable nappies to childcare, what to pack, and how to make cloth nappy changes simple for nursery staff.

One of the most common questions parents ask when starting nursery or childcare is: Can we keep using reusable nappies? The answer is often yes.

Many nurseries and childminders are happy to use Cloth Nappies, especially when a simple system is in place.

What Should I Pack?

To make things easy for childcare staff, send:

  • 5–7 clean, pre-assembled Modern Cloth Nappies - set these up on your child’s current rise settings, so they are ready to go! (We’d recommend using the All-in-One nappy for childcare, as they are the most simple to use)

  • A Wet Bag for used nappies

  • Wipes (if required)

  • Disposable Liners (if required)

  • One or two extra nappies, just in case

The goal is to make nappy changes as straightforward as possible for those looking after your little one.

What Happens to Used Nappies?

Used nappies can simply be placed into a wet bag and sent home at the end of the day. Staff don't need to rinse, soak, or wash anything.

Tips for Success:

  • Talk to your childcare provider before your child's first day.

  • Show them how your Modern Cloth Nappies work.

  • Label everything clearly.
